The Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center 2000

The annual Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting gathers thousands of folks to witness the enormous, cheerful tree towering over the Rockefeller Ice Rink. And from November to January, Rockefeller's 21 acres of gardens, plazas, art, and architecture are awash in lights, swarming with bundled shoppers and camera toting tourists.
