Park (On 42nd Street & 6th Avenue)
Bryant Park is situated behind the New York Public Library in midtown Manhattan. Bryant Park is a public park of the City of New York and a New York City Scenic Landmark, designated by the Landmarks Preservation Commission in 1974. The park has undergone three major transformations of design since its origin as Reservoir Square in 1842 and has been put to myriad uses. |

Today's Bryant Park is favorably compared with the great parks of London and Paris, and it was the 1996 winner of the Urban Land Institute Excellence Award for Public Projects.
